Creative storytelling
More than 20 years as a journalist taught me the importance of telling compelling stories. Whether I’m writing a business letter, an executive profile or even a technical report, I use stories to draw in readers and keep them engaged. I tell stories (true ones!) in every brochure and Web site I write, in every seminar I teach, and with every individual I coach.
| "I've been writing voraciously! I'm using the tips and tools learned in the class. My writing is crisper and more succinct." |

Sales training
I recently graduated from a one-year course in Sandler Training, an internationally recognized sales method. Sharp and insightful, this approach uses a mix of psychology, common sense and courtesy to create more productive sales scenarios. These studies now inspire the way I write and the way I teach writing.
Speeches & speaking
I studied speech writing while living in Washington, D.C., and have written thought-provoking speeches for executives from national companies and educational institutions. My own speaking engagements include the City of Seattle, Seattle Chamber of Commerce, First Choice Health Network, YMCA National Speakers Association NW, Small Business Administration WNET, University of Puget Sounds and the Burien Rotary.
National & regional publications
My writing credits include three books and dozens of newspapers and magazines, including Southern Living, Seattle Metropolitan, Associations Now, Country Living, AmericanStyle, NICHE, Law & Politics, Voyageur, Washingtonian, Yoga Journal, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the online version of the Washington Post, among others.
I have written business collateral for major U.S. companies and organizations, including:

| "As a professional writer, I have worked with many fine editors through the years, but for sheer editing and coaching wizardry, Lynda McDaniel has no peer. Her quick wit not only makes her a delight to work with but enhances her effectiveness as an instructor. Her own rich and successful career as a writer has prepared her well for leading others around the pitfalls of writing and for helping her clients meet – and enjoy – the challenges of getting words to sing." |
